Landlord & Tenant law

We represent landlords to prepare appropriate leases that actually protect in the event of a tenant issue or dispute. Often, we assist landlords in formation of limited liability companies and preparation of leases in order to achieve better liability protection for individual owners. If your tenant has breached your lease, or needs to be evicted, we are experienced in Forcible Entry and Detainer actions (FED) and the eviction process. We can advise on the basic process, and guide you through doing most of the work yourself. Or, we can take on the burden for you.

Tenants can benefit from attorney review, explanation, and negotiation of the lease. When issues arise or questions of tenant rights are present, we can advise. The most common dispute that we find on the tenant side is a landlord’s failure to properly account for or return a security deposit. We can help.
