Aaron Barrick is a civil litigator with more than 20 years of experience in jury and bench trials, arbitration, mediation, settlement conferences, administrative hearings and appeals. His practice focuses on basic and complex litigation including business and contract disputes, construction disputes, real estate and land-use law, insurance and probate.

Mr. Barrick’s business experience includes contract disputes of all kinds, corporate and shareholder agreement disputes, buy-outs, dissolutions and valuations, debt resolution and conversion/mismanagement claims. His construction practice includes payment disputes, defects and workmanship issues, back charges, change orders, warranty issues, and mechanic’s liens. His real estate and law-use experience includes quiet title actions, commercial and retail landlord/tenant disputes, foreclosures, adverse possession, boundary line, easement and land use disputes, escrow/earnest money disputes, condemnations, and homeowner association issues.

Mr. Barrick is a reservist in the Colorado National Guard serving in the rank of Colonel and acting as the Senior Legal Advisor and General Counsel to the Adjutant General for Colorado. In this capacity, he oversees all legal personnel in the state militia and is responsible for all matters of state and federal law impacting the national guard and its more than 4,500 military members and their families. He is a former Special Assistant U.S. Attorney and Judge Advocate in the United States Air Force. He maintains a top secret security clearance.

Mr. Barrick is also the managing director of Folkestad Fazekas Barrick & Patoile, P.C. In this capacity, he manages the operations and business of the firm, while implementing the firm’s strategic planning and promoting its regional reputation, sense of community and market position. He is active in his community and is presently the Chair-Elect of the Castle Rock Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors and on the National Advisory Council for his alma mater, Central University of Iowa.

Mr. Barrick is licensed to practice before the U.S. Supreme Court and in all state and federal courts in Colorado, Nebraska and Iowa. He holds the highest rating of AV-Preeminent Lawyer by the attorney rating system of Martindale Hubbell.
